These two videos show some of the techniques I taught eight installers at South Lake Tahoe, CA May 28th - 30th 2008 & one finished wall. Two papers from our Eco Line with zero VOC's were used on this project for GE Partners, Inc. A total of 15,000 sq ft of Stoney Brook Torn Paper® will be installed in this hotel renovation. Special thanks to David Aflalo Project Manager.
Leaving PDX early Wednesday.

Just before landing at Reno International.
In the concourse of course. Guess there's no denying the impact of the Fab Four with tribute bands performing all over the world.
Preparing for the 1 hour shuttle bus ride to the hotel.
First glimpse of beautiful Lake Tahoe.
In Texas, this is what you'd call a pond.
After the bus ride. The Horizon Hotel across the street is where the Beatles tribute Band "Yesterday" performs nightly.

Arriving at the job site it's right to work. Here you see DJ & David.
Manuel tears the paper to get a finished edge.
Miguel & Arturo installing our custom zero VOC version of Pebble Beach.
Gustavo is excited about Stoney Brook Torn Paper®!
Arturo demonstrates the overlapping technique & proper placement of pieces to get the most mileage out of an installation.
These pieces of our custom made Pebble Beach with zero VOC's were shipped to the job site for my OJT class by Mike Conroy, President Stoney Brook Wallcoverings, Inc.®

We bisect a large piece to give us a straight edge to butt at the ceiling line.
Smaller pieces are used to fill in any small wall spaces not covered initially.
Mike's instructions are self explanatory.
I lost two installers for days 2 & 3. Here we see Ernesto Cruz (dark shirt, not facing camera), Owner of E.C. Home Remodeling, Inc. 805-573-9683 & "Candy" replacing insulation and installing green board in one of many bathrooms in the hotel. They also spent days 2 & 3 applying stucco.
Here's the 2nd floor elevator walls on which I installed our custom made Meditation with zero VOC's.
Heading back to my hotel I snapped this photo of the mountain which shows some previous fire damage.
This was my home away from home while working on this project. I forgot to get a photo of the telephone which still had a faceplate with the old hotel name on it... "Avalanche". Guess it was wise to change the name to 3 Peaks.
I really didn't have time for any site seeing, but snapped a few photos while walking to the sports bar the evening of day 2. We met for a drink & watched the end of the Lakers vs. Spurs semi-final.
The info kiosk said this was the Gondola. In OR, we call it an enclosed ski lift.

Jennifer of Venetian Faux Artistry installing Stoney Brook Torn Paper®. She & her husband Eric are Stoney Brook Sales Associates & installers based just 25 miles south of South Lake Tahoe.
A beautifully transformed wall. Besides the elegant look of Stoney Brook Torn Paper®, the hotel owners were sold on the durability and ease of repair.
Since I was flying I couldn't bring all my tools & equipment. Two plastic saw horses & an old door make an excellent pasting table.
The finished wall where my table was set up.

At the end of day 3 Arturo & Gustavo are proud of their work.

We worked very hard & I didn't get enough photos. I apologize for not getting a usable photo of Roberto or Ernesto's faces.

Here's the evidence to prove I was there.
Working until departure time, I finally got to see a street trolley en route to the shuttle bus stop.
It would have been nice to visit while not working.
The Nevada State Legislature Bldg in Carson City, NV at 7:00 pm Friday May 30th, 2008. I saw it coming up and had to snap this photo as we zoomed by on the shuttle bus back to the Reno Airport.
